Kasugai Gummy Melon

surprisingly OK... I should start off by saying that I'm not all that fond of melon. Cantaloupe and honeydew are OK, just not my favorites. So I wasn't too excited when I opened the bag of melon gummies... First of all, they are heart shaped, which is nice. Better than the round blobs the gummies usually come in. Still, I figured they would be worse than my least favorite candy flavor - watermelon. But they were really OK. Taste a lot like fresh melon, more than you'd expect from a candy. I let one of my coworkers try a couple. As soon as she popped one in her mouth she got a look of recognition on her face, "These taste exactly like the melon hard candies my mother-in-law sends us from Brazil!" I thought that was pretty cool, that the same flavor recipe is used in Japan and Brazil. So I guess the bottom line is, if you like melon and gummies, pick up a package of these snacks. No horrible unidentifiable artificial flavor here. I'm sure everyone else will like them better than I did.
